The 23rd Annual Conference of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres (IAPTC) will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from 11-14 September 2017. The Conference is being organized by the Cairo Center for Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa (CCCPA) and Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Defense and the Egyptian Ministry of Interior.
The aim of the Association (IAPTC) is to facilitate communication and exchange of information and best practices between peace operations and other related education and training centers, and/or among people responsible for, and involved in, training for peace and crisis management operations. The theme of this year’s annual conference is: “Integrated Peacekeeping Training for Complex Environments”.
Representatives of ten APSTA Member Institutions including the host, CCCPA, are expected to attend the event. From APSTA Secretariat the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of APSTA, Brig Gen. Daniel Kwadjo Frimpong (Rtd), and the Finance and Administration Officer, Ms. Jane Nyambura Karanja, will attend the event.
