Introduction of APSTA to the AU Regions

In a series of notes, the AU has formally introduced the APSTA to the RECs/Regions, as a pan-African partner collaborating with the Peace Support Operations Division (PSOD) of the Commission. The introduction is part of the outcomes of the ASF Training Support and Coordination Workshop, which was jointly organized in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 24-26 April 2007.

Within the framework of the collaboration, the APSTA will be providing training support to the PSOD in the drive towards the capacity building of the African Standby Force (ASF), as the key operational instrument of African Peace and Security Architecture.
