AU ASF Formed Police Units Workshop

ASF WorkshopThe African Union Peace Support Operations Division (AU PSOD) will be conducting the AU ASF FPUs Workshop with the participation of AU experts, representatives of RECs/RMs, training institutions and AU partners. The overall objective of the workshop is to consider the work done during the AU ASF FPUs Workshop held in Dakar, Senegal on 14-16 April 2009 and documents developed thereafter. More specifically the Workshop seeks:

  • To discuss the proposed AU POL FPUs Policy Framework, make the necessary revisions and agree on a final draft of the policy framework;
  • To discuss and agree on the SOPs for FUPs formulated during the Dakar workshop; and
  • To consider and deliberate on the AU POL Manual

The workshop will take place in Tripoli, Libya from 11-13 August 2009. The workshop is collaboratively organized with the support of the Secretariat of the African Peace Support Trainers Association (APSTA).
